Veteran Spotlight

Every veteran we serve brings their own story—marked by challenge, resilience, and hard-earned strength.

Allen J. Lynch

Every veteran we serve brings their own story—marked by challenge, resilience, and hard-earned strength.

Every generation produces heroes—but what happens after the uniform comes off is where the real story begins.

Allen J. Lynch is one of those heroes. As a Sergeant in Vietnam, he risked his life again and again under heavy fire to carry wounded soldiers to safety. For his actions, he received the Medal of Honor—the highest recognition our nation can give.

But like so many veterans, his greatest battles didn't end overseas.

When he came home, Allen faced the same challenges many of our veterans still carry today—trauma, isolation, and the difficult path of reintegration. What changed his life wasn't recognition. It was connection. Purpose. Being around others who understood.

That is exactly what The Giving Ground Foundation is built to provide.

When a Medal of Honor recipient stands alongside our veterans in the field—not on a stage, not behind a podium, but shoulder to shoulder in the outdoors—it sends a powerful message: you are not alone, and your story is not over.

This is where healing begins. Not through speeches, but through shared experience. This is the impact your partnership makes possible.
